Questions
What numbers should I put on an appointment setter resume?
Calls a day, appointments booked a week, and your show-up rate if you tracked it. Half of our 8 appointment setting listings measure the job on these, so put them near the top. Write "about" when you're estimating.
Does customer service or telesales experience count?
Yes. 7 of our 8 appointment setting listings asked for telemarketing, telesales or other phone and sales experience, and one named customer service. Put your calls a day and any targets you met, and use the listing's words in your summary.
Should I list the languages I speak?
Yes, near the top. Half of our 6 Malaysia listings asked for Chinese or Mandarin, so say which languages you can call in and how well.
Can I apply from the Philippines?
For the roles that don't say Malaysia, yes. Roles marked Malaysia are only open to people based there, so put your city and country in your header.
Should I send it as a PDF or a Word file?
PDF, unless the listing asks for Word. A PDF looks the same on every screen. Our apply form takes PDF, DOC or DOCX files up to 10 MB.
